Cousins

Cadence adores her Ate Chyanne (isn't she a cutie?), and she's so glad that we live so close to her now. I think she mentions Chyanne at least once a day in conversation.

Alex has the most amazing eyes. They are hazel, but when I when I took this photo yesterday they were greenish with yellow flecks. Hard to believe that the girl is half Filipino!  Heehee. :o)

And here's Justin being Justin.  His mom and dad say that he reminds them so much of when Ronald was a kid. Total goofball.  Ya know, Roanld still is a goofball. Some things never change!

Baby bum

Had the opportunity to take some photos of some friends this past weekend who were visiting from Florida. Last time we saw them they were only a family of two. :o)  My hubby thinks that baby Logan looks just like his daddy. I say he's the perfect mix of both mommy and daddy.

There's nothing better than a baby who's fast asleep.

My baby boy turned four months old yesterday. He's a total thumbsucker, as you can see. He rolls over, but only when he's trying to find his thumb. Cries only when he's hungry. Smiles and giggles when he's tickled. Sleeps best in his bassinet which he will outgrow very soon. (sniff, sniff) Puts himself to sleep in said bassinet. (My other two never put themselves to sleep like that.) Likes to hang out in his crib, and he squeals at his Rainforest mobile when it's on.

Look what I found . . .

. . . on Cadence's desk yesterday afternoon. Not only did she decide to give herself a trim, she thought that the window shades in her room needed one too. Sigh. Someone's definitely grounded from the scissors for awhile.

And some pics of the hairstylist-in-training post haircut because after all, she's darn cute. Miss Cadence's trim is hardly noticeable. I had a hard time figuring out where she cut her hair. Thank goodness!

Picasso in the making

One of Miss Cadence's favorite things to do during the day. Whether it's chalk, crayons, pencils or markers, the girl loves to draw. It's been so neat watching the progression of her drawings in the past two years. From messy scribbles to circles upon circles to potato head people with dots for eyes a nose and a mouth. These days she even draws hair, eyebrows, eyeglasses, feet and hands complete with fingers and toes! That's Cadence and me in the top pic.  Apparently she thinks I have seven fingers on my left hand. Way too cute!

Thirty-one yesterday

Happy birthday to my Ronald. Also known as Twin, Kambal, techno geek, Ron and Ronaldo, but more importantly as Dada and Daddy.

Sweet Cadence wanted to get her Daddy a present with the money she had in her little purse. Three dollars and some change. So I took the kids to Target because I want them to learn that no matter what the cost of the gift, if you give it from your heart it will be the very best kind of gift. Pretty much everything she wanted to give her daddy was out of her budget (obviously) so I suggested that she get him his favorite candy bar. She loved the idea! Cadence was kind enough to share her money so that Clarkie could also buy a present for their daddy - a packet of gummy bears. And thank goodness for the Dollar Spot which had two cute little birthday gift bags for one dollar.

Total spent: $2.81
Lesson learned: priceless

None of the pics I took of Clark and Ronald turned out, so here's a solo of Clark being Mr. Naughty. He likes to move our ottoman so that he can play with the light switch in the family room. Fine by me as long as he doesn't smear his poop on the wall anymore.  Yup . . . happened just the other day. What is it with boys??!
