that were so polite and easy-going . Made my job easier! I enjoyed each of our little conversations while taking their pictures individually. Made me miss my teaching days.

It is nice and cool out today. Definitely my kind of weather. I have all the windows open and the kids and I are enjoying the breeze coming through. Thankfully, all the land directly around us already have homes built so no more dealing with construction dust. Thank goodness! Now I just have to clean it off all the windows and sills.

Can you believe that she is already 36 months along when I took this photo? I swear I was already this big during all my pregnancies by 24 weeks.

Clark is sick with a fever, cough and an extremely runny nose. Everyone has been really healthy this summer. Bummer that he got sick. I expect that the other two will be sick within the next week or so. Unfortunately, even though I do encourage sharing in this house, germs and sickness are things I definitely wish the kids didn't have to share.

Babies are precious & Stormy weather

I had the opportunity to photograph this little 7 weeker earlier this month. I'm really happy with the way this particular photograph turned out. I had purchased this really cool decroative wall hanging made out of metal at Pier 1 for my living room back in July and it turns out that it's a multi-functional piece!

And check out baby's vintage bassinet. The previous owner was his daddy. Awww!

We're extremely waterlogged here in Chicagoland. We've had tons of rain all week long. Today my mom, the kids and I drove through the worst storm that we have seen around these parts in a really long time. We were on our way home from the mall. Had I known that there were tornado warnings (one tornado was sighted inbetween Ronald's work and where my sister lives - scary!!!) we would have stayed at mall. Thankfully, despite the rain, winds and terrible lightning, we made it back to my mom's house safely. You know what though? As crazy as this may sound, I think I prefer tornadoes over hurricanes and earthquakes any day.

Two days ago

this little guy turned six months old. I can't believe that half a year has already passed since we first met our little Rocket boy.

As you can see, Rocket is still our Mr. Smiley. The only time he ever cries (okay, screams) is when he's hungry for a bottle and ready for a nap. And he always takes his bottle right before he goes to sleep. Rocket has permanently moved into his crib and officially shares a room with his Kuya Clarkie. He still puts himself to sleep for naps and at night, and when he wakes up he plays in his crib and pretty much hangs out there quite contently until I take him out or give him a bottle. Rocket's first two teeth popped out this past month. He's been extra drooly and now he's got these tiny calluses on the thumb that he sucks because of those two little teeth. When we're all downstairs, he hangs out in his playpen or his Jumperoo. When we're upstairs, he'll hang out in his crib, his little playgym or the Bumbo. I've been holding off on giving him baby cereal because of the other two's allergy history. In fact, Rocket's already got a nasty patch of eczema on his calf that's about two inches in diameter. Sigh... Planning on giving Mr. Smiley his first serving of cereal on Saturday morning so that Ronald can feed him while I take pictures. I've started putting away his 3-6 month clothing since he's outgrown them all, and he's wearing size 3 diapers. As if he's not growing fast enough, I think that Rocket's going to be crawling pretty soon. He's assumed the crawling position many times, just hasn't gone anywhere. He does scoot around on his belly though, by way of a modified type of army crawl. It's quite cute.

Right now, all the kids are down for a nap - at the same time! Miracle. I'm going to try to sneak in a power nap before they all wake up.

Journaling -  three and a half already. watching you grow up into this little girl is like having a part of my heart grow outside my body. no matter how big you get you'll always be my baby girl. my first. my joy. my heart. 

I can't believe that in less than three months my baby girl will be four years old. FOUR! That's almost all the fingers on one hand. I'm so not ready.

Summer stuff

It's hot and miserably humid. Has been all week long. Definitely not one of my favorite things about summer. This, however . . .

this is definitely one of my favorite things about summer. Fresh fruit. Nectarines, peaches, apricots and plums are the produce of choice in our house right now. Yummy.

The Garden bloomed the other day. This month's theme - digital. For someone who relies on Photoshop as much as I do to proof photos, you'd think I'd scrapbook digitally more often. Especially since I don't have to clean up afterwards. But I don't. I am so much more a paper and scissors type of girl.

So here are two of my contributions to the Garden. Total summery layouts of the kids with their cousin Jakey.

Okay. One more share of my middle child who is just too cute for his own good. Cute when he's not cannonballing off the couch onto our hardwood floor, gouging out his baby brother's eyes or smearing poop on the family room walls. Haha.
