Christmas images from school . . .
One of my coworkers (who happens to be Cadence's teacher) was kind enough to make arrangements so that I could be mommy for a few hours of the work day and attend a Mothers Tea at Clarkie's preschool and also hang out with Cadence and her Kindergarten class for their Christmas festivites.
My handsome boy as a wise man, singing and playing instruments during their little Natvity play. Later we did a craft together, ate treats and drank tea.
I let Clarkie take a picture, and he did pretty good!

Pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas day . . .
One of our holiday traditions is having the kids wear new Christmas PJs on Christmas Eve. This year Rocket's footies had little reindeers on them. Adorable, aren't they?
Cadence & Clark's letters to Santa. Cadence wrote hers with very little help. Clark did a great job as well. Please ignore the fact that we make insta-cookies for Santa. I sorely lack skills in the baking department.
The tree in our upstairs hallway.
Miss Cadence got a bigger bike from Daddy & Mama to replace the one she outgrew.
Rocket, our resident train-lover, got a train table and he is in choo-choo heaven.
Clarkie got a ukelele and Rocket got an accordion from their Kuya Bryan and Kuya Rhanjee who had just flown in from Napa to celebrate Christmas with us.
Pictures from our annual extended family Paskuhan (Christmas party) . . .
It had snowed the night before, so we let the kids and their cousins play outside in my parents' front yard for a little bit. In the 30+ years that my mom's family has been celebrating Christmas here in the Chicagoland area, this is the first time that any of the kids have gone outside to play in the snow on the day of our Paskuhan.
This is what happened when Rocket tried to throw snow at his Ama who had been watching through the house window. He was not a happy camper. Ha.
The kids had an audience while they were outside playing.
And finally, images from THE BEST holiday tradition that originates from the Philippines on my mom's side of the family - surahan! The older folks in the family throw money and the younger kids battle it out to collect as much as they can. We split it up so the little ones have their own surahan or else they will get killed by the high schoolers and college kids. This year's winner was my newphew Cameron who collected over $130!
Yup. That's my crazy family. :o)
Hope your holidays were as cozy, fun and memorable as ours.
