I can't believe that the kids just wrapped up their second school year. It went by faster than the year before. I'm really looking forward to sleeping in, home cooked meals, swim classes at the Y, and not having to commute to and from school/work.
Took these picture of the three on Friday. We were outside right before sunset. The light was perfect. They are perfect. Even if they fight with each other 831 times a day.
I can't believe this guy finished up Kindergarten! Clarkie boy absolutely loved his teacher, and has stated many times that he would like to stay in Kindergarten forever. On awards day, he was recognized for being the "Most Inquisitive" in his class of 23 and with good merit! Clark's really excited because he'll be going to basketball camp at the Bulls/White Sox Academy with Cousin Jakey this summer. Always on the go, my #2 stood still long enough for this one picture. I'll take what I can get from him!
Miss Cadence is moving on to 2nd grade, and she's extremely excited because yours truly will be her teacher. I must admit, I'm excited too! Cadence grew up so much while in 1st grade. In her formal school photo taken back in September, she still had all her baby teeth up on top. In total, I think she lost six teeth during the school year. Cadence's teacher gave each child in her class a "Character Counts!" certificate. Cadence was recognized for her kindness and helpfulness. That's my girl! For the first time, Cadence asked to grow out her hair during the summer. We usually cut it all the way up to her chin during the warmer months. She wants to grow out her hair so that she can donate it next summer.
My #3 completed his first year of preschool. Rocket's looking forward to Pre-Kindergarten, and has earned himself quite the reputation at school. Thankfully, Rocket has done a lot of growing up especially since he had to attend Preschool full-time for several months. What were once daily tantrums have pretty much diminished to weekly tantrums. Seriously though. Look at this face. He wins everyone over with that smile.
I love my kids. I really do miss them as the itty bitty babies they once were, but I'm enjoying this stage of their lives as well.
Joy, you must be so proud! They are sooo precious and it sounds and looks like you're doing such a great job with them. Enjoy your summer!
