Since I just posted about Clark, I thought I'd add this goodie I just found while going through the kids' school pictures. Love this picture of my Clarkie boy giving his Kindergarten mammal report on capuchin monkeys. He chose this animal partly because it was the kind of monkey on Night of the Museum, a very popular movie in our house. Clarkie is our resident science geek. He's pretty much a walking encyclopedia of animal facts, particularly dinosaurs and predatory animals. What makes me really proud is that he gets most of his info from books.
Despite the fact that we commute a million miles a day (sometimes it really seems like it) to get to and from school, I'm so grateful that I can just walk across my classroom and watch my kiddos do stuff like present a report on capuchin monkeys and hit home runs during PeeWee Baseball. Even better, I can give them random hugs as they walk down the hallway or come into my classroom to get their lunches.
