This post is for Rebecca Cooper's "The Simple Things" challenge.
With a kid name Rocket, I had to have a rocket/space theme in at least one corner of the boys' bedroom!
Canvas print by artist Lesley Grainger, and you can buy it HERE at Target. Planet mobile and window curtains were a Pottery Barn Kids purchase. Wall shelves are RIBBA picture ledges from IKEA.
On a side note - Lesley Grainger is one of my Facebook friends. Back in February, Lesley asked her FB friends if they had any prayer requests. I asked her if she could pray for my dad who was about to leave for California to undergo treatment for prostate cancer. Keep in mind that I have never met Lesley. I'm just an adoring fan of her work. Lesley said she'd put my dad on her priority prayer list. She even asked me for my dad's name so she could mention him specifically in her prayers. I thought that was pretty cool considering that I have loved her work for quite some time now and even more awesome that she would pray for a complete stranger. Shortly after I had Facebooked Lesley my prayer request, the kids and I went shopping at Target. When we passed through the aisle with Lesley's canvas art I stopped and told them that the artist of the paintings we were looking at was praying for their Papa. Then I started to cry right there in the middle of the aisle. Thank you Lesley and everyone else who prayed and continues to pray for my dad. He came back home in May after nine weeks of treatment and he's doing really well.
Since I showed off one corner of the boys' room, I have to be fair and share a corner of Miss Cadence's room as well. Birds make me smile. I'm glad Miss Cadence loves them too.
Tree branch, birdhouses, and bird nightlight all from the Penelope collection at Pottery Barn Kids. Curtains and storage containers on top of the armoire from the Simply Shabby Chic line at Target.
What a wonderful story Joy. You just never know how God shows us His glory. Thank you so much for sharing this, it made my day!! Prayer really does make a difference.

That's so sweet that she would commit to praying for your father like that! Also, I love how you have your kids' rooms decorated - especially the little girl's room!
