So we didn't make it to the beach like I had hoped we would this holiday weekend. We did, however, get to spend a day in the city. After a nice lunch with family we haven't seen in years (some we met for the first time!), we hung out in Lincoln Park and stopped by our favorite eateries and then made our way over to the zoo. It was a gorgeous afternoon.
Before sunset, we drove over to lakefront so we could sit and eat dinner in front of the skyline. The wind was cold, but thankfully we had jackets and a blanket in the van. Fall is definitely around the corner.
